The firm’s client contended that it had lent the defendant money, which the defendant had failed to pay back. The defendant claimed various defenses, but to no avail. Ultimately firm principal Alexander Blackburn successfully obtained a judgment against both the defendant and its guarantor, jointly and severally, for $794,569.73. This money judgment was in addition to significant other concessions made by the defendants to conclude the litigation.
