Alexander C. Blackburn
The firm’s Principal, Alexander Blackburn, focuses exclusively on commercial litigation and family law.
In the commercial litigation context, he has represented businesses ranging from local proprietors to large multimillion dollar concerns and has successfully litigated against both well-known corporations and prominent national law firms.
Mr. Blackburn also practices extensively in the area of family law. He takes a holistic approach to the practice of family law, and is focused on his clients’ overall well-being, in addition to achieving a desirable legal outcome for them. Mr. Blackburn takes great care to ensure that clients make rational decisions that they will be happy with in the long-run.
Mr. Blackburn earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Stanford University and his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Upon graduation from law school he was recognized with the school’s exclusive Order of Barristers award for excellence in applied lawyering skills. While in law school Mr. Blackburn won the American Bar Association’s Negotiation Competition twice at the school level, was the 2005 Midwest regional champion, and competed successfully at the national level.
Mr. Blackburn is also a Monrovia City Councilman and a Past-President of the Monrovia Rotary Club.
